Mirror Blasting

Mirror Blasting

The artistic images and designs come to life with the technique and process of sandblasting and etching the glass surface. The mirrors/glass can be shower, interior or exterior doors, dividers or partitions and include decorative glass and wall mirrors.

Etching and sandblasting are techniques used to decorate and create the image. They are similar in that they produce a frosted appearance to the surface making it opaque. Etching the glass is the process of using acid on the glass to remove the glossy finish allowing the design to appear. With etching the surface appears smoother than blasting and offers more finishes with various degrees of transparency. Etched glass is scratch resistant and low maintenance.

Blasting is the use of sand to rub off the glossy finish leaving the end result a frosty finish also. With blasting, the designs are readily available and can be more custom and detailed. These creations can be more maintenance but also are environment friendly with no hazardous chemicals.
